Granite Legal Services is an exciting new legal services provider operating in the heart of Newry city.

With Brexit looming, and a global financial crisis arriving as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic, the UK and Ireland have never before faced such economic turmoil.

And in such an unforgiving environment, individuals and businesses – North and South of the border – need legal advice now more than ever.

Granite Legal Services

We are a niche commercial and business law practice offering a wide range of legal advice for individuals and businesses.

Our solicitors provide legal services in both UK and Irish jurisdictions.

And in the era of ‘Irish backstops’ and the ‘Northern Ireland protocol’, clients can access a full, professional and tailored package servicing their specific business needs.

  5. Outsourced In-House Counsel

Our clients come from both the business and commercial industries.

They rely on our sound, practical advice whether they’re in the public or private sector.

Meet the team

Gervase McGenity leads our Business Law Department; a solicitor enrolled with the Law Society of England and Wales, Law Society of Northern Ireland and the Law Society of Ireland.

He is a qualified Advanced Advocate in Northern Ireland and vastly experienced in delivering general commercial legal advice and services, in both private practice and industry.

Gervase trained and qualified initially as an employment lawyer in Manchester, before returning to Northern Ireland in 2009 to take up an in-house position as Company Solicitor for a local globally successful pharmaceutical company.

He retains membership of both the UK and NI Employment Lawyers Association (ELA).

Such experience and commercial insight enable us to support our clients in developing and protecting their most valued commercial relationships.

And because we’re not a general or a full-service legal practice, clients can be sure that they receive focused, expert commercial law advice tailored to their business objectives and structure.

With a flexible fee structure, businesses can grow, prosper and be proactive to legal risks and compliance issues.
